More than a month ago..... 14th September.
ChanMari aka my BFF turned 32 years old:-)
I planned a day trip to Kyoto - a surprise gift!
I decided to go to Kyoto because she kept saying she wanted to do "Oiran Experience".
かれこれ、１ヶ月以上も前の９月１４日のこと。
ﾁｬﾝﾏﾘ（わたしの相方ちゃん）が３２歳になりました♡
ｻﾌﾟﾗｲｽﾞﾌﾟﾚｾﾞﾝﾄとして京都旅行を計画！
そもそも、なぜ京都かって言うと、、、「花魁やりたい、やりたいっ！」と、結構しつこく言ってたからw
I picked her up at 10:30am and gave her a birthday card with today's itinerary.
Our booking was at 1:30pm - straight to Kyoto!
What is Oiran?
Oiran was a high-class prostitute during 16-18th century. Oirans disappeared in the 18th century, but the tradition is still remembered and now you can be (experience) an Oiran in Kyoto.
There are many places you can try.
This time, we went to YUMEKOUBO, one of the most famous photo studio in Kyoto.
１０時半にﾁｬﾝﾏﾘを迎えに行って、日程の書いてあるお誕生日ｶｰﾄﾞを渡しました♪
予約の時間は１時半なので京都まで直行！
花魁とは？
花魁は江戸時代に活躍した高級娼婦。１８世紀に花魁って呼ばれる人達はいなくなっちゃったんだけど、その存在は今でも大人気で京都に行けば、花魁体験が出来ちゃうわけです。
いろいろな所で体験できるけど、今回は京都で有名なスタジオ夢工房にお邪魔しました♪
Once you get there, a staff will explain briefly what we are going to do today.
And you tell them whether you want to be a traditional Oiran or a modern Oiran.
We decided to go with a modern Oiran:-)
中に入ると、係の人が一通りの予定を説明してくれます。
その後に、伝統的な花魁にするかﾓﾀﾞﾝな花魁にするかを決めます☆
今回、私達はﾓﾀﾞﾝで行きます！
Next 15-20min were super quick.
Put a lots of make-up on, made a big hair with hair extensions.
* This girl on the picture was gonna try a Maiko (not Oiran)
こっからの１５−２０分はめっちゃ早かった！
けっこーたっぷり化粧されて、めっちゃ盛り盛りにでっかい頭作ってもらった☆
注：この写真の女の子は舞子さん体験でした。
Once it's done, time to choose your dress (kimono).
Then a staff help you to put it on - for me, it was the most exciting moment!

それが終わると、着物選び☆
着付けは係の人が手伝ってくれます。
この瞬間がたぶん一番興奮してたと思う！
うゎぁ。花魁になったじゃんんん（笑）
There are two rooms for professional cameramen + two rooms for us to take more photos.
These two pictures above were taken by my camera.
ｶﾒﾗﾏﾝに撮ってもらう本番用の部屋が２つと自分達で撮影できる用の部屋が２つあります。
この上の２枚は自分達のｶﾒﾗで撮影したもの。
And those are taken by a professional cameraman.
I couldn't post this blog till now because I just received my photos from the studio.
Unfortunately we couldn't take any good pictures by ourselves (although we took hundreds, took our time. In the end, we were asked to leave lol) I needed to wait until I received the CD.
で、これが、ﾌﾟﾛのｶﾒﾗﾏﾝに撮ってもらったやつ。
なんでこのﾌﾞﾛｸﾞ内容が今まで書けなかったかっていうと、つい最近やっと写真が届いたから。自分達で撮ったやつ、なんか全然よくなくって（涙）
めっちゃ撮ったのに。。。（長居し過ぎて、早く帰ってと言われたw）
なので、CD届くまで待たなきゃだめだったのょ。
Anyway, it was really fun and good experience!
If you are keen..... try!!!!
And we had to leave to Nagoya after only 3 hours staying in Kyoto.
Why? I booked her favorite restaurant for dinner at 8pm <3

たった３時間の京都滞在を経て、名古屋に戻ります。
なぜかと言うと？
